Context:

Cliché is an alternative music festival that highlights and features black alternative artists. The festival aims to challenge stereotypes by showcasing a musical genre not commonly associated with black culture. Essentially, breaking out of the black "Cliché."

problem:

The challenge at hand is the insufficient representation of a variety of black individuals. We frequently encounter categorization and stereotyping that restricts us to narrow boxes, overlooking the diversity of our experiences and identities

IDEA:

The idea was to integrate elements of the alternative scene and tailor them to resonate with a black audience. Emphasizing a grungy atmosphere influenced by bands like Blink-182, Nirvana, and Paramore.
